The World Bank’s Development Economics Vice Presidency (DEC) has been offering scholarships to students and young researchers as part of its mission to promote economic development and shared prosperity through investing in education, capacity building, and developing human resources in the developing world. DEC's scholarship programs have been active since 1982, and they have helped over 6,000 development professionals and scholars from developing countries to acquire the necessary training and experience to positively impact their nations and future generations.
