This scholarship program is considered prestigious and aims to provide financial assistance to students from flood-affected districts in Pakistan. The severe floods that occurred in Pakistan caused significant damage to infrastructure and livelihoods, leaving many students from financially disadvantaged families in a precarious position.

The USAID-funded Merit and Needs-based Scholarship Program has been providing financial support to such students since 2004. The program has now extended its scope to provide scholarships to students from flood-affected communities, allowing them to pursue their undergraduate degrees.

Additionally, they must provide evidence of flood damage, such as a damaged house or livelihood. The application process is online, and shortlisted candidates will be interviewed for financial support by the University's Institutional Scholarship Award Committee. Females receive 50% of all scholarships, and students of all skill levels are encouraged to apply.

Applicants must submit several necessary documents, including a notarized copy of a diploma or certification, a personal statement, non-criminal records, passport for international students, a short resume/CV, a motivational letter or statement of purpose, recommendation letters, a health certificate, proof of language proficiency, a good TOEFL or IELTS score, acceptance letter (optional), or any other supporting documents.
