"Sindh Government Proposes Outsourcing of Education Boards to Tackle Exam Irregularities"

The Sindh government is proposing a new solution to address the issue of irregularities in board examinations and results across the province.

The Department of Boards and Universities has put forth a proposal to outsource the matric and intermediate boards.

In a letter to the heads of all education boards in the province, the Department has suggested that the examination system be outsourced in a phased manner starting from the upcoming annual examination in 2023.

The proposal comes as a response to numerous complaints about maladministration and corrupt practices in conducting examinations and compiling results of SSC and HSC.

As the controlling authority, Minister for Universities & Boards Department Ismail Rahoo has approved the proposal for outsourcing the examination system.

The letter states that the chairmen of all boards are requested to prioritize examination components for outsourcing through an open competitive bidding process in accordance with the SPPRA Rules, 2010 amended. The proposed outsourcing of examination components aims to ensure a fair and transparent system for conducting examinations and compiling results.
